Dollywagon HQ goes for icicle record

This morning Dollywagon HQ recorded overnight temperatures of -14 degrees centigrade, a thermometer reading that hasn”t been witnessed around these parts for at least 30 years.

We also seem to have grown some pretty impressive icicles, too. If you click on the icicle thumb-nail images (to your right) in our photostream you”ll see our current reigning champion. It measures 71.5cm / 28 inches in length and it”s hanging like the sword of Damocles above our rear doorway.

If you think you can beat our icicle we”d like to receive your photos and an accurate measurement of your contender. We measured our icicle from the lip of the gutter from which it hangs down to its lowest extremity. In the spirit of mobile casino fair play you may wish to adopt a similar methodology…

*UPDATE* – Dollywagon HQ”s champion icicle (dubbed “King Prong”) has finally broken through the psychologically important 1m barrier. It now measures exactly 100cm in length (that”s 39 and one-third inches in old money).
